Velcro

My new neighbor Derek moved his stuff into the house today. I brought over some music and helped him arrange his new lounge chair before the fireplace with aplomb. I had Manolo dress as a Dodger and deliver lemonade and oatmeal cookies as a housewarmer. He slaked his thirst with a Compari. The pitcher was showing the movers where to put down some calfskin rugs when he turned to me and asked why velcro flies hadn't come back into style. I didn't know they had ever been in style but I know a baseball player plays many games, lives many places and to an extent lives many lives. I lied and said the zipper lobby was a powerful one. Moving depresses me for some reason. I always think of the many places I've called home for a short time, only to abandon to time soon thereafter. Anyway, Manolo is setting up his movie night. Peace.
