Dusty Spring Cleaning
Spring cleaning seems to come later every year. I suppose that's father time fiddling in his workshop. That sentence doesn't sit well on the page, but I think it's the right way to put it. While Manolo and his team throw sheets over all of the furniture, I plan to duck out for a matinee. Why do the homeless consistently have the best sunglasses? Next time you pass one, consider it, Diary. Neil Young called me last night raving about the album art for his next project. He finally asked me to do some photography for him, but he said the name of the album was "dust." I made the mistake of mentioning Dusty Springfield. Well, I'll send him some snapshots anyway. It might work better if the album was called "a bird you could see if that blurry thumb wasn't in the way." Probably there would be a parenthesis or two in there to leaven things. I'll let you bake the bread next time, Diary. See you at the movies.
