Deja Vu

Manolo interrupted my morning deep knee bends, with a question; "Who is Yogi Berra?" At first I had to think about it, did he mean the man or the cartoon? Then I gathered myself, accepted the smoothie he had made me, and realized he meant the major league baseball player. Even with this, it is still a hard question to answer. But apparently, Manolo had stumbled onto an old quote book in the sale bin down at Borders and all he wanted to do was tell me about the, "donkey man." Why he calls him this I don't know. But Manolo had memorized several quotes from Berra and gave me the rundown. As a result Manolo and I shared a few laughs and had a ten minute conversation about spoonerisms. The whole thing made my day. I plan on writing Yogi and conveying the story. I hope I can capture the magic.
