Live Music

Manolo's band had a gig at a coffee shop (The Cafe Orange) not too far down the road, so I decided to attend. All I know is that the band has no name, and that they play "fusion" jazz. Manolo needs the support so I figured I should sit close to the stage and be attentive. I arrived and much to my surprise the place was packed. I was resigned to standing in the back nursing a darjeling tea. The boys were on point and their version of "Bumpy" Jackson's Brown Frown Blues brought the house down. Even Manolo managed to look comfortable. After the show I told the group they should call themselves Bad Company, but no one responded. I thought I offended them until I talked with Leon and he told me there was already a band by that name. So be it, but I bet they can't hold a candle to Manolo and his horn. Out for the day.
